Oz Garden Club

Gardeners of Australia

Well, yes!  At "Rose Park"  my life is one glorious sequence of needlework, gardening, breeding Bantams, Gardening, running meetings, gardening, getting Show exhibits ready - and Gardening!

As President of our Garden Club and the Wondai Garden Expo, life can be a little challenging, but what the heck, life is for the living!

And I really love the feeling of doing something worthwhile for my community.

At closer to 70 than 60 I realize my ability to contribute will become more limited, but with so many interests I surely won't die of boredom!

Take my latest needlework - at our Proston Show [Sat 8-9th March] the theme for this Show is Butterflies, so I have knitted and made up a baby's quilt using motifs of butterflies ad flowers which I have designed myself.

Hope to add for you a photo of this once it's finally pressed - it's absolutely gorgeous.

I also exhibit as many flowers and pot plants as I can manage, plus a few OEG bantams.

Chrysanthemum, Pelargonium  and Zygocactus plants which will be ready for the Wondai Garden Expo in April  fill the shadehouse, the legacy of many hours spent at the potting bench.

Hi,

So busy! Sounds like we are of an age!...both are gardeners and there the similarity ends.  Perhaps it is the difference between town and country...I'd feel envious if you didn't make me feel exhausted just reading your blog.

Cheers,

Denise
